One of the secrets to a happy and healthy marriage, is to never stop dating your spouse. It’s so easy to get into the same pattern of the day to day and forget to take time to focus on your relationship.
Even more so, it can be hard when you don’t know where to go or what to do. So here’s our list of some of our favorite spots in DFW for dates!

Dallas and Fort Worth are home to some iconic (and amazingly delicious) Taqueria’s, BBQ joints and unique international dishes with a twist. As well as some of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
Resident Taqueria Our favorite restaurants in DFW is a small taqueria in Lake Highlands. It's home to amazing and unique tacos, homemade chips and salsa and the best margaritas in Dallas! Don't forget to stop by Andy's Custard around the corner for dessert!
Cheesesteak House (Garland, TX) Heading back to our Philly roots, Brendan and I LOVE that there's a Cheesesteak restaurant that imports Amoroso's rolls from Philadelphia. There's also great burgers, fries, and wings too!
Hutchins BBQ (McKinney, TX and Frisco, TX) One of our favorite BBQ spots in the Dallas area, their wood smoked meats and amazing sauces make this spot one of our tops!
Pecan Lodge (Deep Ellum, Downtown Dallas) You'll need to get here early and be prepared to wait in line because of just how amazing this BBQ is.
Haystack Burgers & Barley (Multiple Dallas Locations) I first heard of this family-owned burger chain on TikTok and it definitely makes this list for its atmosphere and AMAZING food!
Keller's (Multiple Dallas Locations) Delicious burgers and vintage feel - this is an excellent stop if you're doing a date at the Dallas Arboretum!
Chilangos Tacos (Dallas, TX) Home of the incredible Chilangos, you'll have to check Instagram to make sure they're not sold out!
Tacos La Banqueta (Dallas, TX) When I first moved to Dallas, I was told that the "shadier the place, the better the tacos" - this has proved to be fairly true so far.
Cris and John (Dallas, TX) If you're looking for an excellent Viatnamese Street Food restaurant home to the best Pho I've ever had, this is a great spot!
Piranha Killer Sushi (Arlington, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Flour Mound, TX) Great happy hour deals and yummy sushi! It's killer sushi, with killer drinks and a killer atmosphere!
Yia Yia's House of Gyros (Mesquite, TX) Craving authentic Greek food? This is a great hidden gem with amazing food!
Legacy Hall (Plano, TX) Legacy Hall is a great spot if you both like different foods, want a casual atmosphere or if he really likes watching sports on a massive screen! They have a great outdoor courtyard and an amazing variety of restaurant vendors inside!
Ten50 BBQ (Dallas, TX) Let me just say, Dallas has WAY too many good BBQ spots.
Breadwinners (Uptown, Dallas) Brunch bunch!
Andy's Frozen Custard (Dallas, TX) Locals to Lake Highlands claim it's the best Frozen Custard in Texas - and I tend to agree! This popular spot is great for frozen treats in the Dallas heat!
Crumbl Cookies (Multiple Locations) With new cookies on the menu every week, Crumbl is a fun spot to try out new and adventurous cookie flavors!
Cinnaholic (Richardson, TX) A delectable choose-your-own-toppings cinnamon roll shop is a heavenly addition to any date! It's also a great stop if you're headed to Alamo Drafthouse right night door!
Duck Donuts (Addison, TX) This is yet another spot that I'm so grateful has come to Dallas. It's a super fun, build-your-own-toppings donut shop! Recently it made its entrance into the DFW area after having locations in multiple different states.
Milk & Cream (Dallas, TX) This cute ice cream shop a little ways outside Downtown is the perfect stop artisan ice cream and cute Instagram photos!
The Baked Bear (The Colony, TX) Customizable ice cream sandwiches, need I say more?
Rita's Italian Ice (Bedford, TX) Another one of my Philly favorites transported to Dallas, Rita's Water Ice is a great summer time treat! You'll catch me with a Mango Gelato every time I'm there!
La La Land Kind Cafe (Dallas, TX) If you're looking for great coffee and a business that gives back to the community, this is a great spot!

Houndstooth Coffee (Multiple Locations) Coffee, tea, wine and beer! This is an eclectic coffee shop for all kinds of coffee lovers!

Bourbon & Banter (Dallas, TX) A speakeasy in the basement of the Statler Hotel, this is such a unique spot to grab a cocktail!
Checkered Past Winery (Dallas, TX) Texas made wines paired with events like jazz nights and more, make for an ambient and romantic date night!
Picole Pops (Dallas, TX - Bishop Arts & Deep Ellum) A gourmet paleteria that includes some awesome alcohol infused popsicles! Heck yes!
Dallas World Aquarium (Downtown Dallas) This jungle oasis is in the middle of downtown. But be prepared to be transported to a rain forest full of monkeys, birds and all kinds of beautiful creatures! This is one of Brendan and I's favorite date spots!
In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue & Educational Center (Wylie, TX) While it's only open on the weekends, if you're looking for an interesting spot to see big cats, this is it! Mostly run by volunteers, this big cat rescue is a great spot to visit some incredible animals. You may not want to wear your cutest clothes though...
Fort Worth Zoo (Fort Worth, TX) Deemed the "better" zoo in DFW, this is a great place to explore and have fun!
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (Multiple Dallas Locations) We love Alamo Drafthouse for a dine-in movie experience! Our favorite is to go for appetizers and milkshakes with our movie!
Angelika Film Center & Cafe (Dallas and Plano) Home to independent and specialty films, the Angelika makes a great date night to see a variety of different films from cult classics to hard-to-find moves!
Another Round (Dallas, TX) Another TikTok find, Another Round is a spot for brews and indoor minigolf! This is definitely on our list to try as a date night!
Bishop Cidercade (Dallas, TX) Arcade games and in-house brews? Great times are ahead!
Jade & Clover (Deep Ellum, Dallas, TX) If you're into the plant life and love succulents, curating your own succulent garden is a super cute and fun activity! If you're like me and can't keep plants alive - succulents can also be a great plant option!
Texas Pool (Plano, TX) Wanting a fun and unique swimming hole? This pool is shaped like the great state of Texas!

Rockledge Park (Grapevine, TX) One of my favorite locations for a by-the-water photo shoot, Rockledge is also a beautiful spot for hiking and picnicking!
Dallas Arboretum (Dallas, TX) One of my all time favorite places in Dallas as both a photo session spot and date spot is the Dallas Arboretum.
Oak Point Nature Reserve (Plano, TX) With 13 miles of trails and 800 acres to explore, Oak Point is a great location for hiking and picnicking!
Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge (Fort Worth,TX) Outside of Fort Worth is one of our favorite places to hike - and you can bring your dog with you! There are many different trails to choose from, including some by a river that runs through the park!
Nasher Sculpture Center (Dallas, TX) For couples interested in art, this is a great spot to experience all that sculpture has to offer.
Dallas Heritage Village (Dallas, TX) Dallas Heritage Village is an interesting historical spot in the middle of downtown. One of my favorite things about Heritage Village is their annual Jazz Age Sunday Social in March. It's a great display of costumes and dancing (and a secret speakeasy)!

Dallas Museum of Art (Downtown Dallas) A beautiful art museum and free to the public, this is a great spot to explore! Plus head to the kid's area and have fun bringing out your inner artistic child with some of their activities!
Klyde Warren Park (Downtown Dallas) One of the highlights of Dallas, Klyde Warren Park is an oasis in the middle of Downtown! It's great for hanging out or attending the various activities that always seem to be going on!
Lakeside Park (Dallas, TX) Brendan and I spent our first Valentines Day at Lakeside Park with a cute picnic by the water! With a sweet trail by the water, it's the perfect spot for a walk or a picnic or a wedding!
Flag Pole Hill (Dallas, TX) Close by White Rock Lake is a hill and park that I absolutely love. It's a great place to take your dog, go for a walk or a bike ride, or even take a picnic!
White Rock Lake (Dallas, TX) Full of great walking and biking trails, White Rock Lake is a wonderful spot for all kinds of outdoor activities! There is also opportunities to rent paddle boards from White Rock Lake Paddle Co.! So have fun on an outdoor adventure!
Prairie Creek Park (Richardson, TX) One of the cutest locations for a great waterfall in the DFW area!
Fort Worth Water Gardens (Fort Worth, TX) An oasis in downtown Fort Worth, the Water Gardens are beautiful to explore and spend a romantic evening!
Adriatica Village (McKinney, TX) An absolutely beautiful escape from the city, this neighborhood is designed to look as though you've stepped into Croatia. There are also some cute cafe's to eat at or just spend some time walking around!
Whitewright Sunflower Field (Whitewright, TX) Towards the end of June, there is a gorgeous and expansive field of sunflowers just off Fiddlers Rd and Pettit Parkway in Whitewright, TX. Lavender Ridge Farms (Gainesville, TX) Out in Gainesville, TX lies 2 acres of lavender fields, as well as other herbs and perennials.
Texas State Fair (Fair Park, Dallas, TX) Who can forget the Texas State Fair?! With exhibits, great food, fun games and rides - the Texas State Fair is a must-do in Dallas!
