Love and sunsets go together so well, especially at stunning locations like having your anniversary or engagement session at Murrell Park. As a photographer, it’s an honor to work with couples who are taking a moment to relive their special moments and milestones.
One of such fantastic clients is Mallory, and Brian, who are celebrating two years of marriage. As part of their celebration, they decided to make it a memorable one by having a romantic photoshoot at Murrell Park in Flower Mound, Texas. Together with their fur-baby, Bear, we got some stunning and adventure-filled photos that they will cherish forever!
Meeting Mallory was a delight as she hired me to work with her on her graduation photos last year. It was a match made in heave, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her and her circle of friends on several occasions. For Mallory and Brian’s anniversary shoot, we decided to go to Murrell Park in Flower Mound, Texas, known for it’s picturesque views of Grapevine Lake.
We got a few shots in before we had to duck back into our cars to hide from the rain for a little, but heading back out the light gave way to the most incredible sunset. The sky was a mix of pink, purple and orange hues that provided the perfect backdrop. It’s so evident that Mallory and Brian have a beautiful connection, which translated perfectly into their photos.
Mallory and Brian also brought along their fluffy fur baby, Bear. Bear is absolutely one of my favorite dog models to work with!
Bringing along your four-legged friend to your anniversary or engagement session, it’s important to come prepared so we get the best photos and make the most of our time! Mallory and Brian brought along a squeaker for Bear to get her attention, as well as some yummy treats! And she turned out to be the perfect model!
Pro tip: They also brought along a stationary stake to keep Bear in one spot when we took pictures of just Mallory and Brian, as well as her favorite stuffy and some bully sticks to distract her!
As the sun started to set and another wave of thunderstorms started to roll in, we knew it would be our last chance to capture the magic of the day. With full hearts, we got our final photos with the stunning Lake Grapevine showing off with the sun in the background.
Mallory and Brian’s sunset anniversary session was breathtaking. It’s amazing to see how love can be captured in photos and how emotions can translate through a lens.
