I first met Tom and Rose in a Starbucks and I absolutely fell in love with them as a couple! So deciding to do their engagement session in nearby Valley Forge Park was perfect!

We bonded over sweet details about their proposal and giggled over wedding plans. The sweetest part of my job is sharing in excitement over this new chapter in people’s lives.

For their engagement session, we met up in the beautiful Valley Forge Park.

Their Story

Their love story started with a small dating mishap.

Tom had asked out a coworker a few days before he left his job at a comic book store in the King of Prussia mall.

Said friend thought the two were just going as friends, but drinks turned to fast friends.

A little down the road, Tom was introduced to Rose by this mutual friend who seemed to know the two just absolutely had to meet.

Telling Rose that she had a really great guy she really wanted her to meet, Rose thought it was platonic.

It took them more than eight years, yes EIGHT, to realize their mutual friend’s intentions was for them to become a couple.

And that their chemistry was more than just friendship.

But finally they were together!

The Proposal

Around Christmas time (also close to Rose’s birthday), Tom took Rose to look at rings at Zales because, why not?

After taking Rose home, Tom turned right back around to go back to the mall (open late because of the holiday shopping season) and picked up the ring she had pointed out.

Since her birthday is New Years Eve, Tom and Rose were celebrating – even more than Rose knew.

Though she could tell something was up but they celebrated it as her birthday (as they do every year).

At 12:01am, just into the new year, Tom opened a drawer and said:

“I have another gift for you. Well, not so much as a gift, but a question.” [*Queue tears*]
