Spoiler alert — this proposal at The Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth is too cute to handle!

Keegan and Katie’s love story started as a message exchange on Bumble. It was clear since the beginning that these two were meant to be. Just a few months into their relationship Keegan took Katie to The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth for one of their early dates — but that date didn’t go as planned. Little did Katie know, this same venue would become a special place in her life forever.

The Date That Didn’t Go As Planned…And The Story That Ended Perfectly

The first thing Katie mentioned when they started talking was how she was known amongst friends for her homemade cookies. Then she brought them to their first date! What a perfect and yummy way to start their budding relationship.

A few months later, they decided to go to The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Katie’s deep love for art and dance are a large part of their bond. Though, at this date, things didn’t turn out exactly as planned. Arriving later in the day, they spent nearly the whole time watching two sides of a film set to the same sound. Despite this, Katie still enjoyed the date — but little did she know what Keegan had planned next!

A Second Chance at The Modern

Keegan used this less-than-perfect experience as an excuse to “redo” their original plan and take Katie back to The Modern. This time, he wanted everything to be perfect and with the best ending ever! So he contacted me to come capture some photos while he proposed!

As I hid in the bushes and waited for their date to end, I waited for a text from Keegan. After their time in the museum, they would end with a walk that would land at the reflecting pool and a proposal! It was such an intimate moment between these two lovebirds and a perfect part of their story! And I am so lucky I was able to witness it all firsthand.

This engagement story is just another example of how important location can be when planning your special day. For Keegan and Katie, choosing to their proposal at The Modern gave them the unforgettable experience together in a place that already held so much meaning for them individually.
