Hot air balloons, the epitome of whimsy and romance.
So when a fellow photographer posted about setting up an aviation styled shoot, I had no hesitation but to jump on in!
And from on the ground, in balloons and in the air — it was an amazing day!
If you ever get the opportunity, shooting inside of a hot air balloon makes for an adventurous shoot and some colorful shots! Just watch out for the inner ropes and the dizziness that being in a swirl of color can induce!
This small plane made for some cozy, romantic shots both in the cockpit and on the ground!
I also highly recommend layering when you’re shooting in an open field for some interesting images.
Our model’s bouquet had some gorgeous ribbon detailing which made for a colorful layering opportunity while we posed them!
Add in some gorgeous stationary, unique wood decor and beautiful vintage accents and we’re all set for an amazing shoot!
It was a beautiful day and the shoot of a lifetime! I highly recommend doing a shoot with colorful, fun, and massive props like massive balloons and airplanes.
I can’t forget some sweet outtakes of the struggles of working with hot air balloons…especially when they love rolling around a windy field.
